Annie Johnson has been a full time professional board of health approved tattoo artist since 2004. With a hippie mother and cowboy father she was raised to have a no nonsense, blue collar work ethic and a very intuitive creativity. Her artistic style and personality are both straightforward yet whimsical. Her portfolio is drenched in color, comedy, and clever cover ups.  She admits that "nightmare-esque" imagery is not her strong suit and leans towards a style that is more spiritual and organic.  She enjoys the challenge of covering up terrible old tattoos, and of getting an image out of the customers head and into their skin. She warns, "its not my job to talk you into it, I am not a tattoo salesman,  I can help you with size, shape, placement, colors, and background, but the subject matter, symbolism , and style should be all your idea, you are the one who has to look at it for the rest of your life , not me."  Her spare time is often spent either in the mountains, on her yoga mat, or at the gun range. Sometimes all at the same time.

Positive Space tattoo is a collaboration between Annie Johnson and Rob Anastasia.  The two have worked together for over ten years and have created a clean, bright, humble country tattoo studio in the quiet town of Rehoboth Massachusetts.  Positive Space Tattoo was established out of necessity in the summer of 2015 when the shop they both worked at unexpectedly moved out of state, which turned out to be a wonderful thing!
